One of my highlights of my wedding season was the intimate elopement of Jade + Mere in Victoria.
I remember the day I got the inquiry from Jade. I was in the process of planning out a busy week of travel at the end of July, which was the date on her inquiry form. I was due to be leaving in Tofino that day after being gone for a week, shooting all over the island. But I just knew I had to take this job. I felt so connected with their love story written on the contact form, that I knew that were my kind of couple!
We met at a local coffee shop a few weeks later to discuss the plans they had made for their elopement. I remember when Jade pulled out a diagram of the Government House gardens, where they picked for their ceremony. She had made notes of light they observed in their favourite locations on the property. Like, COME ON, can I just come out and say "dream clients!".
They day arrived, the sun was shining, and we had the most amazing time together.
From the first look in the Rose garden, to the ceremony in a circle of giant fir trees, they day was magic. We then headed down to Dallas Road to capture some amazing sunset images at their other favourite spot to be together in Victoria.
