Last week after a short yet stressful visit to Victoria to do some back to school shopping, we made the choice to stop at Goldstream Park on the way home. As a Vancouver Island resident, I am ashamed to say how long it had been since I visited this beautiful park. The stress of the outing quickly dissolved as we watched the girls frolic on the old growth logs and discussed the possibility of finding forest fairies. We walked to point where we crossed under the Highway via a tunnel and came upon the most spectacular waterfall.
Of course I didn't have my camera with me, but did meet two lovely photographers who were enjoying the beautiful scenery. I vowed to myself I would some how find someone to photograph in this location before the chaos of life once school started the following week.
Right away I reached out to a dear friend of mine who I knew would embody the feeling I wanted to create with this location. She is also a stunning artist who makes silk floral crowns that are works of art. A chance to highlight her work was truly a gift!
